A first-of-its-kind Walmart in Georgia has opened in Lawrenceville.
The new concept is called "Walmart Neighborhood Market." The 45,000 square foot store is located on Lawrenceville Highway in Gwinnett County. It was once a Publix supermarket.
The store is about a quarter of the size of a Walmart Supercenter. Managers say it's designed to create a hometown grocery store atmosphere.
