Police arrest 2 in alleged Douglas County burglary ring

Douglas County deputies have arrested two people in a burglary ring and say more arrests are pending.

Douglas County deputies have arrested two people in a burglary ring and say more arrests are pending.
Sgt Mike Howell says the crooks broke into more than a half dozen businesses in three counties, targeting quick sale items such as lottery tickets, cigars, hair pieces and drug paraphernalia.
Howell says good investigative work and an anonymous tip generated from surveillance video they put out helped track down the suspects.
Howell says surveillance video shows the burglars used a stolen white van and a stolen U-Haul during the break-ins.
Douglas County investigators are comparing notes with Fayette and Fulton counties after similar burglaries there.
