Cartersville apartment fire displaces two families

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -

Two families were left homeless Sunday after a fire at a Bartow County apartment complex.

Fire units from both Bartow County and Cartersville were called to the Stone Haven Apartments on East Felton Road in Cartersville Sunday afternoon.

Four units were destroyed, but only two of those units were actually occupied at the time of the fire.

All residents were able to escape uninjured.

Fire officials tell residents that they looking into if the fire was caused by the electrical system.

The Red Cross is helping the families which have been displaced.
