Sometimes it's a simple handshake, other times it's a hug. We're always looking for ways to say "thank you" to the men and women who've sacrificed by serving our country. This weekend the city of Rome is doing it in a big way.
Congressman Tom Graves and Patti Saylor, who's son was killed while serving in Iraq, stopped by Good Day Atlanta to talk about this weekend's Georgia Honors Iraq Parade.

Details: The Georgia Honors Iraq Veterans Parade, hosted by American Legion, Post 5, will start at 11:00 a.m. and conclude approximately at 12:30 p.m. The parade will begin on Glen Milner Boulevard (also known as 8th Avenue) and will travel down Broad Street in downtown Rome.
The parade will include many veterans, military service organization floats and a special "Memorial Float" to honor the fallen. Many local military service organizations worked together to help make this parade possible. For more information click here!
At 1:00 p.m. all veterans and their families will be invited to a short program at The Forum. Kevin Daniels from South 107.1 FM will emcee the program. Honored invitees will be Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and Congressmen Phil Gingrey and Tom Graves along with other special guests. For directions to The Forum please click here.
