CDC investigating E.Coli outbreak in Georgia

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

The Centers for Disease Control is investigating a mysterious E.coli outbreak in Georgia.

A total of five cases were reported in Cobb, Cherokee, Coweta and Forsyth counties.

Officials say the victims got sick at the end of April and one of them had to be hospitalized.

The CDC says they have identified the bacteria but not the source.

Four of the five victims are women.

The Department of Health says their recommendation is not to be overly alarmed but to be aware of the outbreak, especially if you develop diarrhea that cannot be managed with over the counter medication.
