It's time now to Get Up and Go! Today we are spotlighting one of the most colorful places on earth, at least for this weekend! About an hour and a half north of Atlanta, the oldest hot air balloon event in the south is now underway in Helen.
Watch the sky for brightly colored hot air balloons Saturday and Sunday. They'll lift off at 7:30 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. both days -- weather permitting.
If you want to join in and learn about hot air ballooning, you can help with inflation, hook up with a chase team, or take a tethered balloon ride.
Tethered rides last about 10 minutes and cost $10. You go up in the air about 75 feet.
