ATLANTA -

Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris visited a local school on Thursday to talk about bullying.

The rapper took a tour of Dobbs Elementary and spoke about the dangers of bullying.

"Like my mother said, bullying can it can keep kids from coming to school -- and that can mess up your education and you don't want to do anything to mess up your education," he said.

Speaking of education -- Ludacris talked about not only the need to hit the books even when you're not in school this summer, but to be mindful of who you call your friends.

"It's very important that you keep positive friends, not friends that are going to get you to do the wrong things," he said.

Ludacris has been an active supporter of Dobbs Elementary School for the past several years. His foundation provided funding for the school's teaching garden.
