Covington firefighters battle downtown blaze - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Firefighters in Covington battled a blaze that struck a historic building on the square on Thursday.

When crews arrived at the scene, heavy smoke was seen coming from the building.

Authorities with the Covington Fire Department say the building has been used as part of the "Vampire Diaries" set. It is not clear if crews were filming at the time of the fire.

Officials say the building was built in the 1800's and is currently a law and CPA office.

What started the fire is not known.

Officials say there are no injuries.
