One person was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in southwest Fulton County early Saturday. Police say they believe two men were arguing over a woman, and it ended in gunfire.
It happened at the Travel Inn, located just off of Fulton Industrial Boulevard. Authorities tell FOX 5 they have a suspect in custody, but they did not give specific details.
The deceased was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as being Deceased victim is Desmond Phinazee, 38, of Smyrna.
According to one witness, one of the victims was dead minutes after shots were fired. Police say when officers arrived, they found the two victims and made an arrest.
According to Det. Melissa Parker, the shooting was a result of an argument between two men, who were believed to be fighting over a woman.
