Hemy Neuman's attorneys were back in court Thursday. The 48 year old is facing criminal charges in the murder of a Dunwoody father in November 2010. He is also facing troubles in civil court as his wife is seeking a divorce and access to his finances.
Divorce proceedings are being handled at a Fulton County Courthouse because his house is in Fulton County.
Ariela Neuman filed for divorce in January, days after Hemy Neuman was charged with the murder of Rusty Sneiderman. She claims her husband was having an affair with Rusty Sneiderman's wife, Andrea, in the months leading up to Rusty Sneiderman's murder.
She believes the two went on lavish trips together just weeks before Sneiderman was gunned down as he dropped off his young son at a Dunwoody daycare center. She also believes her husband paid for those lavish trips, and was even trying to buy a new home with money and assets Mrs. Neuman says she does not have access to, even though she's trying to take care of their teenage child and their two older, college-aged children.
She has subpoenaed Andrea Sneiderman, trying to get information on Hemy Neuman's finances. Hemy Neuman's attorney, Joe Winter, says they are being cooperative.
"We have agreed that anything, any and all assets owned by my client, should go to petition and we have sent a summary proposal as part of our motion,” said Winter, who went on to say they have not received a response.
Ariela Neuman’s attorney, Esther Panitch, says they "don't believe Mr. Neuman. He is a liar. He wrote an email saying, "I have a poker face. I lied.' His word means nothing. I need to be able to find the assets."
Both parties are expected to meet again in August. The judge in the case ordered Panitch not to question Andrea Sneiderman in the case until after the August hearing.
