FOX 5 has learned that the man accused of murdering a Dunwoody father has hired two attorneys to defend him. Rusty Sneiderman was shot and killed as he dropped his child off at a daycare center in November, and Hemy Neuman is accused of the vicious crime.
Neuman, a GE executive, also supervises Sneiderman’s wife, Andrea, FOX 5 has learned.
Defense attorneys Doug Peters and Robert Rubin were hired by Neuman about two weeks ago, FOX 5’s Aungelique Proctor reported. A FOX 5 investigation revealed that both Peters and Rubin have visited Neuman several times at the DeKalb County Jail.
Although the lawyers didn't want to talk about a possible motive, they did describe Neuman's arrest as “shocking.”
Neuman’s attorneys say he is indeed married, and has been married for over 20 years. They say he has two children who attend Georgia Tech and another who is still in high school. The attorneys say Neuman has been in touch with his children from the DeKalb County Jail.
They would not comment on Neuman’s relationship with Sneiderman or his wife.
The DeKalb district attorney is expected to lay out his murder case against Neuman in two weeks.
