The robbery of a man trying to sell his iPad was captured on camera.
Enrique Santiago had arranged to meet some men in a parking lot to sell his iPad that he had listed on Craigslist. Enrique's wife was in the car and videotaped the transaction.
"He had cash and could afford to make the payment all at one time," said Santiago.
After looking at the iPad, the two men took off running.
"I saw the guy when he was running there was something behind his back. It was kind of black. I thought it was a gun," said Santiago.
Enrique, a cook at a restaurant, was asking $600 for the iPad 3. He says he needs the money to help pay some doctor's bills for his wife, who injured her back. He calls the crooks heartless.
"When they stole my iPad, they saw my daughters, they saw my wife, so it's like they didn't have any feelings at all," said Santiago.
After Enrique's iPad was stolen, he posted his iPhone on Craigslist using his wife's cell phone number. When they heard from a potential buyer they realized it was the same people, wanting to meet at the same location.
"It hurts a lot. It's not easy to lose something you really worked to buy...it's not fair," he said.
Enrique said that he heard from detectives that another woman got her iPhone 4 stolen after meeting two men at the same location where he got robbed.
