Omari Fleming joined the FOX 29 news team in November, 2011, as a general assignment reporter. Before Fox 29, Omari worked at WREG-TV in Memphis, where he was a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
After graduating from high school in Los Angeles, Omari headed for the east coast to get a degree from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. From there, he moved to the heartland of America to get his master's degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Omari then moved to Jackson, MS to report and anchor on weekends.
