(NewsCore) - Lady Gaga used a sold-out show in Phoenix to protest Arizona’s new immigration law and even had the words "STOP SB 1070" -- shorthand for the legislation -- written on her arm as she performed, RadarOnline reported Sunday.
The entertainment website said midway through her Saturday night performance, Lady Gaga began ranting against the controversial law, telling her audience “we have to actively protest” the legislation.
The law, parts of which were struck down by a federal judge last week, requires police to determine the immigration status of people they suspect are in the country illegally.
RadarOnline also reported that Lady Gaga dedicated her song “You and I” to a boy who told her his brother had been sent back to Mexico.
