ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - On the morning of the Peachtree Road Race, 55,000 runners will take off with an adoptive family for 6.2 miles.

Before runners take a stop onto the course, they may want to thank one of the 900 volunteers who will help usher everyone across the starting line.

One man in particular has made volunteering at the start a family value.

For those who aren't running, beginning at 6:00 a.m., FOX 5 will have complete coverage of the Peachtree Road Race.

Coverage will span three hours on the morning of July 4. There will be interesting stories, as well as the men's and women's competitive races.

The exciting wheelchair race will get underway at 6:45 a.m.

A FOX 5 camera will be stationed at the finish line and streamed live on myfoxatlanta.com.
