The MARTA Buckhead station was shut down for close to an hour due to a suspicious package, said MARTA officials Tuesday.
The station is located near the Atlanta Financial Center.
MARTA spokeswoman Andrea Coleman said the package found about 11 a.m. was determined to be safe.
MARTA officials said train service is resuming at Atlanta's Buckhead station after an hourlong evacuation because of a suspicious package.
The package was found in the station. The station had been evacuated as a precaution.
Peachtree Road was also shut down.
Officials did not say what the package may have been nor what its contents may have been.
The MARTA Police Department is investigating.
