A man says loud sex caused him to get roughed-up by some teenagers. One of the teenagers told police she thought he was beating up her mother and called for help. But he believes it was a set-up.
The teenagers face several charges for assault, conspiracy and weapons for the June 6 attack.
Roger Swanson never thought he'd take the worst beating of his life while having sex with his ex-girlfriend, Melanie Arnold, in her second floor apartment in Torrington, Conn.
"It's not the most quietest sex in the world, when it's good, it's good, I'll put it that way," said Swanson. "Tiffany, her daughter, has complained more than once that it's too loud."
Swanson says the daughter took her complaints to four of her teenage male friends, because this time, as she later told police, she thought Swanson was beating her mother.
"Were they screams of pain? Not that I could tell, I thought they were screams of enjoyment," Swanson said in describing the interlude with his ex-girlfriend.
Swanson did mention one thing could have led to a misunderstanding. He said that he slapped Arnold in the buttocks while having sex with her, though he said it was not rough and only once.
"[Arnold's daughter] opens the door and [the teenagers] come in. One has a baseball bat and he points it and he says, 'We got you now,' and I was like, 'Uh, oh,'" said Swanson as he described the scene where the teenagers barged into the bedroom.
Swanson said he then tried to head for the back door to get out the house. He said he "went through the door and it sounded like hail off a car windshield, it was just bang, bang, bang."
Fists and the aluminum bat rained down on Swanson, as he was on the ground trying to protect himself. Swanson believes the beating lasted a couple minutes and then the teens left, leaving the bat behind.
"When I looked in the mirror and saw my eye I thought I was going to lose it for good," said Swanson.
Although Swanson said Arnold is vocal in bed, Arnold did not have anything to say to the TV crew that arrived at her house to speak with her. Arnold called the police instead. And after his beating, Swanson was the one who called police on the teenagers.
"The fact of the matter is I got beat up and the kids deserve what they get," said Swanson.
