ATLANTA (AP) - Gov. Sonny Perdue has picked a new head for the Georgia agency that finances infrastructure meant to save and clean water, preserve land and maintain the state’s fuel tanks.

Kevin Clark’s nomination as executive director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority is expected to be confirmed Thursday by the authority’s board.

He now serves as deputy executive counsel and deputy chief operations officer in Perdue’s office.

Clark replaces Phil Foil, who is returning to the Department of Community Affairs to oversee a mortgage assistance program to help homeowners in danger of foreclosure.
