Mom, Daughter Stabbed at Jonesboro Home

JONESBORO, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A mother and daughter were recovering in the hospital Friday night after they were stabbed inside their Jonesboro home. The stabbings happened earlier in the night at the home on Arrowhead Boulevard. Now police are searching for the man responsible.

Investigators said the woman and her 15-year-old daughter were attacked by the mother's former boyfriend at the woman's apartment.

The mother was transported to Atlanta Medical Center and the daughter was taken to Southern Regional Hospital.

Police said the stabbings were fueled by a pending break-up between the mother and the boyfriend.

Investigators said the suspect was still on the loose Friday night.

The names of the victims have not been released.
