Woman Drowns in Gwinnett County

Authorities said a 24-year-old woman drowned Saturday in the water off Van Pugh Park.

A 6-year-old boy who was part of the same group nearly drowned, but was resuscitated by a Gwinnett County rescue team.

The boy is being treated at Eggelston Hospital.

The names of the woman and boy have not been released.
