A two-alarm fire destroyed a Morrow church early Sunday.
No one was hurt in the blaze at Calvary Baptist Church.
The fire broke out in the rear of the wood-frame church around 3:45 a.m.
Clayton County Fire Battalion Chief Landry Merkison says flames had consumed the rear of the structure and were already through the roof when firefighters arrived.
It took firefighters just over an hour to bring the fire under control. Merkison estimated the church building, located on Mount Zion Circle, was about 30 years old.
A secondary building 10 feet away from the church sustained only exterior damage.
