Community activists will not let up in their quest to have an Atlanta police officer fired. FOX 5 reviewed Officer Reginald Fisher's personnel file and has the latest on the shooting investigation.

Fisher is being investigated after shooting Tremaine Miller in the face while working as a security officer at an apartment complex on May 8.

According to Fisher's personnel file, the officer has been working for APD since Dec. 27, 2007. The file said Fisher has had two evaluations where he was listed as "effective."  His employment record states that he resigned from the Atlanta Fire Department to work at APD. Fisher also listed Forest Park and Clayton County Fire Departments as former employers.

Community activists met with Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard on Friday wanting Fisher handcuffed and sent to jail.

"In many ways, this is worse than the Kathryn Johnston shooting. At the very least, those officers -- based on whatever bad evidence -- at least believed that there were drugs in that house. In this instance, you have an officer creating the situation. He could have de-escalated the situation. This should have been a very minor situation. But no, a human being was shot in the face," said Sen. Vincent Fort.

"When an individual has a cell phone in his hand, he has complied with every command the officer has given him and he's shot in the face for what the videotapes say is no reason, then yes, it is a criminal shooting ,' said community activist Rev. Derrick Rice.

Howard said he expects the investigation into the shooting to wrap up next week.

Miller has yet to undergo surgery to have the bullet removed from his jaw.
