ATLANTA (AP) - Nine people were injured after a driver headed the wrong way on Interstate 85 in DeKalb County.

DeKalb Police Spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening in the four-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning.

He told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that a Chevy Blazer headed south in the northbound HOV lane just after 3 a.m. The Blazer struck a Ford Explorer and then a Buick, and another car also was caught up in the accident.

Police said alcohol might have been a factor.

The accident shut down the interstate for more than two hours.

DeKalb Police did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press Sunday morning seeking more information.
