LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has sued a Georgia home-repair company, accusing the firm of defrauding Arkansans who signed up for repairs after their homes sustained storm damage.
A news release from McDaniel’s office said he had filed suit Monday in Pulaski County Circuit Court against American Shingle and Siding Inc., based at Atlanta.
According to the release, the company sent sales staff door-to-door to sell roof repairs. The release said those who signed up paid the company for the repairs, but the work was never done and consumers could not obtain refunds.
The release said an estimated 100 homeowners lost $2,000 to $10,000 each.
