ATLANTA, Ga. - It was one of the biggest controversies in Governor Sonny Perdue's eight years in office: the missed chance to buy nearly 20,000 acres of pristine wilderness known as Oaky Woods. Now, Oaky Woods is back in play. A Natural Resources Board committee voted to buy half of the property for about the same cost they would have paid for all of it six years ago.
