(MYFOX NATIONAL) - An Ohio mother tackled a woman in a courtroom while screaming "She killed my daughter!"
Courtroom cameras were rolling as Stacy Goodwin, 40, went after and attacked Lori Osterland, 40, who was facing a complicity to involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of Goodwin's daughter. (The courtroom video is silent.)
Goodwin was quickly restrained. But she was not done she yelled that she had good reason to attack Osterland. And that's not the only strange this about this case.
WJW-TV also had a camera in the courtroom and captured the incident on video. ( See the report )
Goodwin "grabbed (Osterland) by the back of the head and shoved her into the back of the jury box," police Detective Don Wensel told CantonRep.com . "When it happened, we all kind of piled on the ground until we could get Stacy handcuffed."
Moments before, Misty Goodwin, 22, another daughter of Stacy's, stood before the judge facing the same charges -- that she helped cause her sister Carri's death.
Alliance, Ohio, police say the Goodwin sisters and Osterland were out drinking. They believe 20-year-old Carri passed out in a car on a cold night and nobody checked her.
Carrie died of acute alcohol poisoning and hypothermia.
After the attack on Monday, Judge Robert Lavery asked Osterland if she wanted to continue. She said yes.
"I think anytime a parent loses a child under these circumstances, I understand the emotion and passion. My concern is violence in the courtroom," said Judge Lavery.
As Goodwin was escorted from the courtroom, she said, "You think some handcuffs are going to stop this."
The crime was bold, yet foolish. Why would anyone break into a police …
