ATLANTA - Several months ago, a Stone Mountain boy wasn't expected to survive after being badly burned in an accident.
This weekend, 8-year-old Alfred Real is going to be released from Shriner's Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Doctors at Shriner's and scientists at the University of Cincinnati performed a revolutionary procedure on Real and created brand new skin for his body and virtually saved his life.
Real's third grade classmates have a teddy bear and they are using it to save his seat until he comes back.
Real will be back in Ohio in two weeks for a check-up.
