ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - An Atlanta police officer was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday afternoon on charges he allegedly shot an unarmed man back in May. Tramaine Miller was struck in the face and has undergone numerous surgeries to remove the bullet fragments.

On May 5, Miller was shot in the face by off-duty police Officer Reginald Fisher at the Cityview at Burney Park apartments. Officer Fisher said Miller was acting suspicious and wouldn't obey commands.

Surveillance video showed Miller arriving at the apartments. Miller said he was there to help his quadriplegic aunt with her medicine. The video showed Miller leaving, three minutes after arriving.

According to eyewitnesses, Miller was shot about 45 to 60 seconds later.

Miller was released from Grady Hospital with the bullet still lodged in his face and has since undergone several surgeries to remove the bullet fragments.
