ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - An Atlanta man said he was ambushed in the parking lot of a Home Depot store in southwest Atlanta Saturday morning.

James Smith said he was certain the men who robbed him would eventually kill him.

The 71-year-old Atlanta man said he was ambushed at gunpoint in the parking lot Saturday morning, then forced to drive his SUV several miles away to a Bank of America branch on Cascade Road.

Smith said one of the gunmen actually escorted him inside to the teller.

Smith said he withdrew $2,000, but when the gunmen saw the bank receipt indicating was money left in his account, they forced to drive to a branch on Lee Street.  That's where the gunmen ordered Smith to take out another $2,500.

Fulton County police said they hope surveillance video will give them a better description of the two men who ambushed and robbed Smith.
