Fulton County Police transferred a 22-year-old woman to the Fulton County Jail. The woman was led out in handcuffs and with a hooded sweatshirt covering her face. Police said that the young woman confessed to the hit-and-run accident on Easter Sunday that killed five people.
At about 3:30 Thursday morning, Fulton County police release two of the three women brought in for questioning involving a car found in their family driveway and arrested Aimee Michaels on five counts of vehicular homicide, one count of hit-and-run, one count of serious injury by vehicle and one count of failure to maintain lane.
Police believe Michaels was driving the BMW that set off the chain reaction wreck on Camp Creek Parkway.
Robert and Delisia Carter, their newborn son and Delisia Carter's 9-year-old daughter, Kayla, died in the April 12 accident.
The other driver, 43-year-old Tracy Johnson, who was hit head-on survived, but is still in the hospital in fair condition.
The Volkswagen Johnson was driving burst into flames and her 6-year-old daughter, Morgan, was killed.
Hours earlier the women, described as a mother, grand mother and grand daughter were all led away by police from their south Fulton home.
Investigators hauled a BMW which they think set off an Easter Sunday chain reaction wreck on Camp Creek Parkway that claimed the lives of five people including three children.
Police said a tip led them to the home on Ailey Avenue.
No one was at the home when officers showed up. Hours later, the women arrived and their SUV was surrounded by police.
Investigators said the trio agreed to talk with detectives. Officials won't reveal what their possible connection to the car might be.
