Paulding County authorities said they arrested the woman who led them on a police chase Wednesday. Hiram police said the chase started on Highway 278. Investigators said the pursuit ended after about 10 minutes when the suspect lost control of her car and stopped in an intersection in downtown Dallas.

Investigators said Endie Rae Brumbelow was arrested Wednesday, after the brief chase.

Investigators said Hiram police were dispatched to an area Wal-Mart store in reference to a crime in progress. Police said the suspect, who they later identified as Brumbelow, left the scene before police arrived.

A Paulding County Sheriff's deputy and a Hiram police officer said they spotted Brumbelow's vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 278. Investigators said officers were able to stop Brumbelow's vehicle at Old Mill Road, but as they exited their patrol cars and began to approach the vehicle, Brumbelow accelerated and fled the scene.

Police said Brumbelow led deputies on a chase that lasted approximately 10 minutes. During the chase, deputies said they used stop sticks to deflate the tires on the Brumbelow's vehicle in an attempt to slow the vehicle and end the chase.

According to investigators, the chase ended in downtown Dallas at the intersection of West Memorial Drive and Hardee Street, when Brumbelow lost control of the vehicle.

No other vehicles were struck and no one was injured.

Deputies said they found a 3-year-old child in the backseat of the car. Investigators said the child appeared unharmed. The child was turned over to the biological father.

Brumbelow was charged with numerous traffic charges as a result of the chase including aggressive driving, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and fleeing/attempting to elude police.
