ATLANTA - FOX 5 News has learned new information about an Atlanta woman accused of shooting and killing her husband during an argument.
According to court records 45-year-old Arelisha Bridges has been married six other times.
FOX 5 News has learned the 45-year-old woman charged with killing her husband on North Avenue after an argument had been married six times before.
Records in Fulton County Probate Court indicate Arelisha Bridges five day old marriage to her husband was her seventh.
A check at the Fulton County courthouse turned up a marriage recorded this month, a marriage last year in May, one in October of 1990, April of 1989, August of 88, September of 84 and her very first marriage at the tender age of 16 in 1981.
Apparently though there's nothing illegal about repeat marriages.
On all seven marriage application licenses that FOX 5 found at the Fulton County courthouse, Bridges was consistent on a couple of things. She always gave the same birth date and she always gave the same name for herself and her parents.
When FOX 5 News contacted Atlanta police about this new development, they said they weren't aware of the multiple marriages.
But police did have information about bridges working as a lobbyist on domestic violence legislation last year.
Bridges is due back in court on Tuesday.
