LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - The Georgia State Patrol said Thursday that they were investigating an accident in Lumpkin County that claimed the life of a popular high school student.
Police said 17-year-old Daniel Millum's vehicle was found in a ravine after it was reported missing Wednesday morning.
Millum's vehicle wasn't discovered until mid-morning Wednesday.
Police said his mother had been calling his cell phone all night, but got no response.
Investigators said Millum may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been set for Millum.
The crime was bold, yet foolish. Why would anyone break into a police …
