Police in Decatur said they have arrested a man outside a home after summoning a SWAT team after getting reports of an armed man inside.
Police Chief Mike Booker said officers were summoned to the home early Thursday morning by the person who lived there but who had gotten out. He says the armed man was alone.
Booker said a DeKalb County SWAT team was called in and several streets were blocked off, but that the man eventually came out on his own and surrendered.
The chief said the man -- identified as 30-year-old William Joseph Studstill -- is being turned over to Athens-Clarke County police in connection with a criminal investigation.
Studstill was wanted in connection with the death of Studstill's wife, 33-year-old Stephanie Ann Studstill, said Athens-Clarke County police.

Studstill was transported to Grady Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained before the stand-off.
