Smyrna police are looking for the killer of a man who was stabbed in an apartment complex parking lot.
Crime scene markings still cover the parking lot of a Smyrna apartment complex.
It is where police found a man dead around 8 p.m. Sunday.
"We received several calls reporting that a male subject had been stabbed at Keenland Farms on Drawbridge Road," said Officer Michael Smith of the Smyrna Police Department.
By the time police arrived on scene the victim was dead from stab wounds.
Police don't have a lot of information to go on but said the man didn't live here at the Keenland Farms apartments.
"He's not a resident here he was actually here visiting someone in the complex," said Smith.
The details about why the victim was here, what happened in the moments leading up to the stabbing, who was around when it happened -- that's what police now are trying to work out.
"The investigation is ongoing. We just barely cleared scene. We have four or five investigators following up on leads," said Smith.
