A Pike County man was murdered during a brutal home invasion Wednesday, July 1. Jimmy Burousas -- 60-years-old -- was found dead in a car at a gate to his property.

PIKE COUNTY, Ga. - A Pike County man was murdered during a brutal home invasion Wednesday and now sheriff's deputies are searching for his killer. His wife was beaten in the attack and is now home from the hospital.
Jimmy Burousas -- 60-years-old -- was found dead in a car at a gate to his property.
The family said Burousas was on the way home from work. Burousas works for caterpillar in Griffin.
Teresa Burousas was beaten in her front yard. A hammer was found at the scene. She was taken to Grady Hospital and released.
Police said the suspects are an African-American male and a white male last seen in a white Pontiac Trans Am.
Investigators said the suspects had some connection to the family.
Teresa Burousas is daughter of Douglas Mangham -- the Chair of the Pike County Commission.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
