WINDER, Ga. - Officers in Barrow County raided a convenience store in Winder as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling machines.

Sgt. Rachel Love of the Winder Police Department says the raid took place Monday at a Chevron gas station and convenience store.

She says officers seized five video poker machines and more than $1,000 in cash but made no arrests.

Monday's raid is part of a month long investigation that led to the seizure of 56 video machines from five businesses Thursday night.

Winder police Lt. Frank Farr says police and sheriff's officers went into the stores over the course of a month, played the electronic gaming machines and were able to walk away with prohibited prizes.
