Plane Makes Newton Co. Emergency Landing

NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A small plane made an emergency landing in a Newton County rock quarry Wednesday afternoon.

The small plane was en route from Rocky Mountain, Virginia and was forced to make an emergency landing in a field in Covington.

There were two people on board the plane when it made the landing, there were no injuries reported.

What caused the plane to make the emergency landing is under investigation.
