ATLANTA - Members of metro Atlanta's Haitian community offered support to one another Thursday night during a special church service in Norcross.

Many are awaiting news about loved ones living in Haiti.

Prayers are also going out to two missing Georgia residents, including a CDC worker.

Members of the metro area Haitian community gathered at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Norcross.

Just about everyone at the special mass had a loved one who is missing from the earthquake ravaged country.

The church held a candlelight walk -- those in attendance said coming together helps ease their pain and uncertainty.

Prayers at DeKalb's CDC headquarters are going out for Diane Caves.

The CDC analyst hasn't been heard from since the earthquake.

Caves was in Haiti on a three week temporary assignment -- staying at the hotel Montana... which locals know describe as a massive pile of rubble.

Caves' husband Jeff posted a message on Facebook: "still missing: Diane Caves, 5 foot 7, blonde, blue eyes, born 9-19-78. Please search around room 202. It may be overlooking the pool."

Also missing from the same hotel is David Apperson. The Sparks, Georgia man was on the fourth floor.

Apperson's wife said the 45-year-old was in Haiti on business -- trying to sell steel buildings to the government.

She said she ast heard from him an hour before the earthquake hit.

In addition to the local missing CDC worker, the agency said it has 11 Haitian employees who they haven't had contact with.
