ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Everyone knows times are tough in America. Here in Georgia, Governor Sonny Perdue has asked many departments to slash their budgets. But a FOX 5 I-team investigation found one state board recently decided to give most of its members and the board attorney a pay raise.

The investigation found that board members with the Georgia Pardons and Paroles Board had their raise in place, until the I-team started asking questions.

Four paroles board members received pay raises, from nearly $3,000 to $5,000 each.

According to one parole board memo, the Governor's top attorney signed off on them in May, but now they are gone.
