Hall Teen Runner Suffers Massive Stroke

HALL COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A Hall County teen was in critical condition Friday night after collapsing during a cross country meet. The teen suffered a massive stroke.
Alberto Diaz, an eighth grader, collapsed while running in a cross country meet Monday at West Hall Middle School in Oakwood. School officials said an administrator was standing nearby and called 911.
Paramedics arrived and administered CPR. School officials said that it appeared that Diaz suffered a massive stroke.
The teen was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Diaz remained in the hospital Friday night.
