ATLANTA - On Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th, the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS), in partnership with the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund (LCCREF) on Friday, and with the FCC on Saturday, is helping families in need of support during and after the DTV transition.
This event will be a vital resource for the thousands of Atlanta families still in need of assistance after the analog signal has been turned off for good.
DTV Organizers and volunteers will be demonstrating how to install a converter box, helping families apply for converter box coupons, and offering phone support and education in multiple languages. The partnership demonstrates a unique resource for communities with little English-language proficiency, yet in need of digital television assistance and support.
At Saturday’s event, CPACS is partnering with the FCC to help families in need of assistance after Friday’s transition with the same education and support as seen at the Center on Friday.
