GRIFFIN, Ga. (AP) -
A grenade was found at a home in Griffin Friday afternoon. The homeowner said he was digging in his yard when he discovered the grenade.
Investigators said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation bomb squad used a remote controlled robot to remove the grenade, which was taken to a secure location to be disarmed or detonated.
Police said the grenade probably dates back to the Vietnam War.
