UNION COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was in the midst of a full-scale missing person's investigation in Union County Wednesday night.
The GBI said 38-year-old Christy Cornwell, a Union County resident, simply vanished.
Investigators said Cornwell was walking along Jones Creek Road just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday when she disappeared.
Union County Sheriff's Deputies alerted the GBI and search for woman was launched.
A command center was set up at the New Union Baptist Church on Jones Creek Road.
Anyone with information on Cornwell's whereabouts is asked to call police.
