The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating an apparent suicide of an employee of the House of Representatives.

GBI officials said they were asked to investigate by the Capitol Police Division.

The victim was wanted by Cobb Police on felony warrants.

Richard Areingdale -- 42-years-old -- was found Wednesday morning near his office in the Coverdell leg of the office building. He had hanged himself, said the GBI.

The body is to be taken to the GBI's crime lab for an autopsy.

Areingdale had been employed by the House since November, 1999 and was involved in the operation of the House's website.
