Funeral plans for a 6-year-old who police say was killed by his grandfather have been set.
Family and friends will gather at Ginn Funeral Home in Carnesville on Thursday at 2 p.m. to bury Michael Levigne. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say the boy's grandfather, Robert Clark, wounded his wife, Linda Dale Clark, and shot and killed the boy at the family's home Sunday. Police believe Robert Clark became upset over a watermelon.
Police shot Robert Clark after he refused to put down his gun. Both the Clarks are in critical condition at Atlanta area hospitals. Michael's 5-year-old brother was unhurt and is in state custody.
Robert Clark has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault of a police officer.
