ATLANTA - A jury returned a guilty verdict on two of three charges in the federal trial of the former doctor accused of child sex crimes.
Adam Lebowitz was found guilty of attempting to coerce a minor to engage in unlawful sex acts and producing child pornography.
Lebowitz's legal trouble began in 2006 when he arranged to visit a 15-year-old Coweta County boy.
But Lebowitz didn't know the 15-year-old told his parents about the doctor's sexual advances, and was now working with police in a sting operation.
When Lebowitz was arrested at the home, police found a sleeping bag, condoms, lubricant, hospital scrubs and a camera.
He eventually bonded out of jail.
Lebowitz was rearrested not long after at Hartsfield-Jackson when an airline employee noticed him trying to board a plane to Hawaii.
In 2007, Lebowitz pleaded guilty to soliciting underage victims over the internet. Prosecutors said he had sex with the boys, videotaped the acts and then published them on-line. The initial plea deal on these charges called for a 20 year sentence.
Lebowitz faces 15 years to life in prison.
