What to look for:

How to know if they are being bullied?

• Look for changes in their behavior
• Are they hiding things or avoiding?
• Are they bullying others around home?

What to do?

• Talk with your kids, support, and educat
• Don't try to fix it without talking to your child first. Get them involved
• Help your kids to find things that will help them feel empowered

How to know if your kid IS the bully:

• Consider their temperament and history
• What is their rep? Are they an Eddie Haskell?
• Do they have friends? What are they like?

What to do?

• Be careful not to bully them when you confront the situation
• Look at yourself to see if you encouraged them or allowed them to behave like a bully
• Help your child to find outlets where they can feel successful
