ATLANTA - A flash flood watch is in effect for much of the metro area.
It's weather reminiscent of last month's record flooding -- standing water, downed trees and road closures.
Crews have their hands full at Piedmont Road near East Morningside - where a tree fell, partially blocking the road.
Tuesday morning in Atlanta, stormy weather forced emergency crews to block parts of Piedmont Road after a tree knocked over a streetlight and some power lines.
Wednesday night in Roswell, the Chattahoochee continued to rise.
Crews put up barriers on Azalea Drive as flood waters spilled out onto the roadway. The flood water made it especially difficult for some residents trying to get home.
City transportation director Steven Asenbrack spent the night monitoring the situation and hoping for a break in the weather.
More rain is expected for Wednesday.
