ATLANTA - Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed's first fiscal budget came out Friday morning and some city workers complain they are being left in the dark about whether they will have a job.
The announced budget is $557.9 million.
The budget includes plans to hire 100 police officers and raise police pay by 3.5 percent.
Also in the budget was money to open recreation centers.
What is unclear is how many jobs may be affected. The Atlanta mayor's office previously said layoffs will be required this year. But where those layoffs will occur is not known.
